I have always been drawn (pun intended) to anything creative. Illustration, painting, interior decorating, music, video games, performance…and yes, I was the person buying books for their cover and not their content. Creativity has always been the thing that makes me feel the most like myself. Where I can lose track of time and let my self-expression take hold.
I try to incorporate creativity into all of my hobbies and passions. In parenting my two girls, Luna & Nora, creativity lets us explore worlds in our minds and put them down on the page. My wife and I co-coordinate the high school band camp where we first met and it is a joy to work with my best friend on making a difference in high schoolers' lives with the creative pathway that is music and performance. I also love creating my own custom Christmas cards every year for friends and family.
